documentation. Below is a list of the legal side
badges that can be incorporated into your number plate.
Since the law changed in March 2003, the sale of number plates requires the
customer to supply relevant details to the retailer before the plates can be
released.
Below is a copy of an information sheet supplied to us by the DVLA with the
basic legal requirements. If you have any questions please contact us and we'll

Registration
of Number Plate Suppliers
In order to
obtain number plates customers will have to provide current verification of
personal details and proof of entitlement to the registration mark quoted.
The acceptable documents are;
Proof of Identity:
-
A current photocard driving licence (preferred),
or
-
Bank/Building Society statement or utility bill (current
within the last 6 months), or
-
Current paper driving licence,
or
-
Passport,
or
-
Credit/debit card with photograph, or
-
Travel Pass card with photograph,
or
-
Foreign national identity card
Proof of Entitlement:
-
Registration Document (V5) preferred,
or
-
Certificate of entitlement to a mark (V750),
or
-
Cherished Transfer Retention Certificate (V778),
or
-
Vehicle Licence Renewal (V11), or
-
Authorisation Certificate (V948) from DVLA Local Office with
official DVLA stamp. (This will apply when DVLA authorises a customer to buy
plates bearing a particular registration mark, e.g. in the case of a cherished
transfer), or
-
An extract from the schedule of vehicles supplied by a
hire/leasing company, or
-
A letter of Authority from Fleet Operators on company headed
note paper with contact details stating that the company holds the Registration
Document (V5) and quoting either the document reference number or the vehicle
identification, or
-
Certificate of Vehicle Registration / Temporary Vehicle
Export certificate (V379).
